Corporate and Business Law
Companies in today’s business climate – whether public or private, large or small, local or multinational – face a dizzying array of issues. Business leaders need the assistance of trusted advisors with the legal skills, real-world experience and scope of services to help them deal with these issues and advance their business agenda.
Schenck Price has been providing a full range of legal services to businesses and their principals since our founding more than 100 years ago. Today our Corporate and Business Law Practice Group, recognized as one of the leading corporate practices in New Jersey, is centered on a team of partners who have many decades of experience in a wide variety of areas related to business. Several have held traditional general counsel roles for large publicly-held companies; others have served as outside general counsel for substantial privately-held companies.Individually each of the partners has broad knowledge and extensive experience in advising clients on the broad spectrum of legal issues facing businesses today. With the support of a strong associate and paralegal team, we have the ability and are committed to providing sophisticated representation related to all types of business entities, whether those entities are owned publicly or privately, for-profit or not-for profit corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships or individuals owning companies. As the reach – and needs – of our clients has grown, we are increasingly serving them well beyond New Jersey – on a regional, national and international basis.
Schenck Price represents many public companies, but we have a reputation, in particular, for our work with privately-held companies. We have the capabilities to handle major corporate transactions, but are equally prepared to handle companies’ day-to-day business needs. With strong practices in estate and tax planning, Schenck Price is attuned to issues concerning succession planning.
Our Corporate and Business Law attorneys start by first understanding our clients and their business needs and goals. We work to get to know the organization’s leaders, their priorities, the key aspects of their businesses and their concerns. From the start, our objective is to build relationships that are founded on mutual trust. The Corporate and Business Law Practice Group is proud to serve as an extension of our clients’ businesses.
