Six Schenck Price Attorneys and Environmental Law Practice Group Recognized by Chambers USA 2023



Schenck Price is pleased to announce six attorneys and the Environmental Law Practice Group were ranked and recognized in the 2023 edition of Chambers USA, the world’s leading legal ranking and insights intelligence company.

Banking and Finance
Partner James (Jim) A. Dempsey received Band 1 recognition in the area of Banking and Finance. Jim represents financial institutions and creditors in all aspects of commercial lending and significant transactions, including asset-based lending, construction financing, mortgage warehousing, syndicated credit arrangements and more. Jim is one of ten attorneys in the state of New Jersey to receive this distinction.

Construction Law
Managing Partner Gary F. Werner received Band 3 recognition in the area of Construction Law for his “expertise in both contract negotiation and litigation.”

Environmental Law
The Environmental Law Practice Group received Band 3 recognition. Chambers says the group is “a well-reputed firm with a broad environmental practice. Focuses on handling environmental aspects of real estate and business transactions. Also adept at counseling clients in regard to environmental insurance policies and claims, as well as in contaminated site remediation.”

Four partners of the Environmental Law Practice Group were ranked:

Heidi S. Minuskin, Co-Chair of the Environmental Law Practice Group, received Band 3 recognition. Chambers notes, “Heidi has the ability to get to the root of the issue and stay there until it gets resolved. She is very smart and has a firm grip on the technical aspects relating to environmental practice.”

Sean Monaghan, Co-Chair of the Environmental Law Practice Group, received Band 3 recognition. Sean was particularly noted for advising clients on the environmental aspect of real estate transactions and regularly providing high-level compliance advice.               

Timothy I. Duffy received Band 3 recognition. Chambers commended Timothy for his work managing complex environmental claims at trial and appellate level and noted “he’s a smart, articulate guy. He certainly adds value.”              

Richard Conway received Senior Statespeople recognition. Chambers noted, “he is an outstanding leader” handling environmental transactional support as well as managing litigation and enforcement actions.
